Change in EPS and Sales Estimates Driving Performance in North America

Over the past three months, the market has begun to focus more on fundamentals in North America. The four factors with the R-squared to the market have been three-month change in EPS and Sales and 1-month changed in EPS and sales (see table below).

Of all the knowledge leader industries, the Home Furnishing groups has the the highest change in one-month and three-month EPS. This group, however, is beginning to look a bit rich at 10x price to intangible-adjusted cash flow.
