With the continued outperformance of Asian (namely Japanese) stocks, we are surprised to still only be hearing about the merits of the long Europe trade. The MSCI Pacific, which is mostly comprised of Japanese stocks, has outperformed the MSCI Europe by 3% in USD terms so far in 2015 and has broken out to a multi-year high. Meanwhile, the MSCI Europe still seems stuck in its same old trading range and is still 6% shy of making a new multi-year high.
