US small businesses can't break out of the malaise they have felt since the great recession hit. The headline of the small business survey fell from 94 to 91.4 in February (vs expectations of 94). This means that this survey is still stuck at levels that prior to 2008 were only seen during or leading up to recessions.
Outlook for expansion remains subdued even has hiring has slightly increased and job openings at pre-2008 levels.
